Why on earth risk anything different?

For the last quarter of a century, non-conductive UPP has been installed at locations all over the world.

That adds up to over 14 million metres of pipe without any electrostatic discharge incident at all. Not a single one, because, with UPP non-conductive pipe, it is impossible to generate an electrical discharge strong enough to create a spark.
